We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Sam to the Rosewood Bespoke Joinery team for his work experience. He brought great enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn, and we were delighted to have him with us.
Here’s what Sam had to say about his time with us:
Q: How did you enjoy your work experience at Rosewood?
“I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve learned so much about the tools and techniques the joiners use every day. I spent most of my time shadowing Davey, who showed me the ropes and walked me through the different processes he uses.”
Q: What projects did you get involved in?
“I worked on my own project – a bedside unit that I’ll be using as a TV stand at home. Eugene helped me bring it to life, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. I also got to support the team on real client projects, which was a great experience.”
Q: What new skills or techniques did you learn?
“I learned how to use different tools safely and effectively, and I picked up various assembly techniques. It was great to see how each project comes together from start to finish.”
Q: What did you enjoy the most?
“Definitely being hands-on. I loved helping Davey and Eugene with their tasks. I’m a practical learner, so getting stuck in really helped me understand everything better.”
Q: Was there a tool or method that stood out to you?
“Yes, the cordless drill. It was interesting to learn what it’s used for and how to handle it properly and safely.”
Q: Has this experience influenced your career plans?
“Absolutely. It’s given me a real insight into the industry and the kind of work involved. I’d definitely consider a career in joinery or carpentry now.”
We’re proud of the progress Sam made during his time with us. He showed curiosity, dedication and a great attitude throughout. Thank you for being part of the team, Sam.
